Jenny and Kayla presented at AACR annual meeting in New Orleans.
Nina, Hanna, and Taru presented at DNA damage/repair conference in Cancun, Mexico. Nina won the best poster awards! Congratulations to Nina!

Jenny and Kayla presented at Metabolism conference in Cancun, Mexico.
June
Had a fabulous joint lab meeting with Naama’s lab (Boston Children’s Hospital) in Stratton, VT! Lots of good food, fantastic science, and a very challenging hike!!
Hanna successfully completed her qualifying exam! Now, a Ph.D. candidate! Congrats Hanna.
Camila (CURE undergraduate student) joined our lab for the summer! Welcome, Camila.

Madelyn joined our lab for her Master’s thesis project. Welcome, Madelyn!

Kayla successfully completed her PQE! Another Ph.D. candidate in the lab! Congrats Kayla!!
Camila presented her project at YES for CURE DFCI poster day! Amazing work Camila!!

NOTICE OF AWARD for our R01!!!! Woohoo!!!!

Started searching for post-docs, students and technicians. Submitted our first ever R21!
Hanna joined for a rotation, and we all got vaccinated!!!! Celebration of science! We are all ecstatic.
March
Christoph joined the lab for five months from Vienna University of Technology. Welcome!
April
Kayla joined the lab after her successful rotation. We are so thrilled to have you here!

Violet joined the lab as a Research Assistant and Lab manager!
August
We said goodbye to Angelica as she embarks on her new journey as a Medical Assistant! Good luck Angelica!

Christoph went back to Austria as he wrapped up a productive five-month project in the lab. Best of luck Christoph!

January
Jenny and Sebastien joined the lab! And we also said goodbye to Byanjana who moved to the Big Apple for a new and exciting career! Good luck for Byanjana!
April
We received happy news from American Cancer Society that we were selected to receive their Research Scholar Grant to study the effect of ECM on drug resistance in pancreatic cancer! Very very exciting!
June
Sebastien left back to Belgium after a successful Master’s project in the lab, and started his PhD back in Belgium! Good luck for Sebastien!
2018
April
The lab was thrilled and honored to receive the Susan G. Komen Career Catalyst award to study drug resistance mechanisms in ER+ breast cancer.

We said goodbye to Caroline, and she duly dominated the going-away party bowling tournament…

End of 2018 outing was enjoyed with plenty of bubbly and some very nice sushi. Pictures to follow…
Exciting news for Jenny and Nina: New fellowships!!! Both Jenny and Nina got great news as they were awarded post-doctoral fellowships at the end of 2018!!! Great work ladies!!!
